Sunshine Scholars (Ages 2-5)

 At Sunshine and Smiles, children ages 2+ learn through play, creativity, discovery, and everyday experiences. We keep learning fun and hands-on while helping children build the skills they need to become confident, happy learners.

Play is a big part of our day! Children explore toys, blocks, puzzles, pretend play, and games that encourage creativity and problem-solving.

We enjoy colorful books, fun stories, songs, and rhymes. Children practice listening, learning new words, answering questions, and talking about what they see.

We sing, dance, clap, and move! Music helps children build coordination, confidence, listening skills, and self-expression.

Children get creative with coloring, painting, drawing, crafts, and other hands-on activities. We encourage them to use their imagination and have fun creating.

Through games and everyday activities, children begin learning colors, shapes, counting, patterns, and simple math concepts.

We enjoy exploring outside, playing, looking at plants and animals, and discovering the world around us.

Children practice using their words, expressing their feelings, listening to others, sharing, taking turns, and playing together.

We encourage children to do things for themselves as they become ready—cleaning up toys, washing hands, putting belongings away, using utensils, and helping with simple classroom routines.

We gently introduce skills that help children prepare for their next big step. Children practice following simple directions, sitting for short activities, recognizing letters and numbers, communicating their needs, and becoming comfortable with daily routines.

Every child is different, and that's something we celebrate! We provide age-appropriate activities while allowing children to learn, explore, and grow at their own pace.
